The bradage is not due to soul, but the thought activity. 278. I cause souls (to be) miserable (or) happy, I bind ther or I release them. This thinking of thine has no meaninge Indeed it is certainly false. 279. If the souls are bound bs Karmas owing to their on) thought-acticiis teing the auxiliary cause, and those fixed in the pa:b of Liberation are Liberated, that then, is tby ac:ion ? 281281-282-283. If you think that by your body you cause misery to liring beings, you are entirely wrong ; because Jising beings are miserable on account of their ora Karmas. If you think :hat by your speech you cause injors to living beings, you are wrong. Liring beings are miserable on ascoun: of their own Karaas. If you thick that by your mind you cause misery : living beings, you are wrong. Living beings are miserable on account of their Karmas. If you think that by weapons (etc) I cause misery to liring beings you are wrong. Liring beings are miserable on account of their own Karmas. 28. Br bošę, by speech or by mind I cause living, beings to be happy. This also is trong ; because living beings are happy bę (táeir own) Karmas, 285.
