attributed to his hero HV in HS VI 62-64 and XIV-86 89 can be expected of him though in the commentary, he limits himself mainly to five Brahmanical Mahākāvyas especially to and fg and Acāry Hemacandra's Sk. grammar and Lexicon.
But a reference to his commentary on HS. shows that he is not intersted in grammar or Metrics though he has used a rich variety of metres in HS. He depends more on Acarya Hemacandra's Sk. grammar and Lexicon (Haima Koša) and specifically quotes his authority. He did know Panini's system of grammar as he quotes Ramacandra's Prakriya Kaumudi in explaining the form Cacali (HS XIV. 73) as atis'ayena cañacaläh. He often quotes from Raghuvamsa Naiṣadha and Sisupālvadha though Naiṣadha, seems to be his favou rite poem. His apt quotations from Prakrit and Apabhramśa certify to his taste and. acquaintance with Prakrits. Though a master of classical Sk., he adopts his Sk. to his times by using Hyper-Sanskritisation for
