74) Just as a mass of wood work is thought of as a house and iron as a sword, so, is the Atman determined to be the body, by an ignorant person. 74) மரக் கட்டைகளையே வீடு என்றும் இரும்பைக் கத்தி என்றும் மூடன் தீர்மானிக்கிறான். அப்படியே மூடன் ஆத்மாவை தேஹமென்று தீர்மானிக்கிறான்.
அக்ஞானம் தான் மோஹத்திற்கு காரணம் यथा वृक्षविपर्यासो जलाद्भवति कस्यचित्। तद्वदात्मनि देहत्वं पश्यत्यज्ञानयोगतः ।।७५ ।। । 75) Just as one sees the illusion of a tree on account of water, so does, a person on account of ignorance, see the Atman as the body. 75) ஒருவனுக்கு ஜலத்தினால் மரங்கள் தலை கீழாக இருப்பதாகத் தோன்றுவது போலவே, அறியாமையின் சேர்க்கையினால் ஆத்மாவிடத்தில் தேஹத்தைப் பார்க்கிறான்.
पोतेन गच्छतः पुंसः सर्वं भातीव चञ्चलम्। तद्वदात्मनि देहत्वं पश्यत्यज्ञानयोगतः।७६।। 76) Just as to a person going in a boat everything appears to be in motion, so does one, on account of ignorance, see the Atman as the body. 76) ஓடத்தில் கப்பலில் போகின்ற மனிதனுக்கு எல்லாமே அசைவுள்ளது போல் தோன்றும். அப்படியே தான் அறியாமையின் சேர்க்கையினால் ஆத்மாவிடத்தில் தேஹத்தன்மை தோன்றுகின்றது.
पीतत्वं हि यथा शुभ्र दोषाद्भवति कस्यचित्। तद्वदात्मनि देहत्वं 4344SITE:T|99|| 77) Just as to a person suffering from a defect (jaundice) white things appear as yellow, so does one on account of ignorance, see Atman as the body.
