________________ मूलाचार यह शुद्धि केवल पठननिमित्त नहीं है जीवदयाके निमित्त भी है;संथारवासयाणं पाणीलेहाहिं दसणुजोवे । जत्तेणुभये काले पडिलेहा होदि कायव्वा ॥१७२ ॥ संस्तारावकाशानां पाणिरेखाभिः दर्शनोद्योते । यत्नेनोभयोः कालयोः प्रतिलेखा भवति कर्तव्या ॥१७२॥ अर्थ-शुद्ध भूमि शिला काठ तृणसमूहरूप चार प्रकार संस्तर और संस्तरका प्रदेश ( जगह ) इनके ग्रहणका व छोड़नेका प्रातः सायं ( सवेरे सांझ ) दोनों कालोंमें हाथकी रेखा दीखे ऐसा नेत्रोंका प्रकाश होनेपर यत्नाचारसे सोधन करना ॥ १७२ ॥ __ वह आगंतुक दूसरे संघमें स्वेच्छाचारी नहीं प्रवर्तेउन्भामगादिगमणे उत्तरजोगे सकजयारंभे । इच्छाकारणिजुत्ते आपुच्छा होइ कायव्वा ॥ १७३ ॥ उद्धामकादिगमने उत्तरयोगे खकार्यारंभे । इच्छाकारनियुक्ता आपृच्छा भवति कर्तव्या ॥ १७३ ॥ अर्थ-ग्राम भिक्षा चर्या व्युत्सर्गादिककेलिये गमनमें, वृक्ष मूलादि योगोंके धारणमें, अपने प्रयोजनके आरंभमें, करनेके अभिप्राय सहित प्रणाम करके दूसरे संघमें भी आचार्योंको पूछना चाहिये ॥ १७३ ॥ आगे कहते हैं कि वैयावृत्त्य भी वैसे ही करे;गच्छे वेजावच्चं गिलाणगुरुबालवुड्ढसेहाणं । जहजोगं कादव्वं सगसत्तीए पयत्तेण ॥ १७४ ॥ गच्छे वैयावृत्त्यं ग्लानगुरुबालवृद्धशैक्षाणां ।
