घोघा Of these the first designation seems to be based on the belief that the idol concerned acts like cintā-mani in gratifying desires of devotees.
The third designation is due to nine pieces which make up the idol.
Leaving aside these features there is nothing new to note regard. ing the preparation of this Part II, for it is based on the general lines outlined in 1930 and followed so far in the case of the earlier publications of this Jaina Catalogue.
As suggested by me in the Preface (p. xiii) of Part I of Vol. XIX the printing of this Part II was commenced as soon as that of Part I ended in the last week of March, 1957, but the printing of Part 1 of Vol. XX was not taken up for simultaneous printing with that of Appendices of this Part II.
