घरके बींचके आँगनकी, देवगृहकी, बिलोंकी, चूहों के बिलोंकी मिट्टी और शौच करनेसे बाकी हुई मिट्टी ऐसे पाँच स्थानोंकी मिट्टी न ले ॥ ४५ ॥
मलमूत्रसमीपे च वृक्षमूलस्थितां च या । वापीकूपतडागस्था न ग्राह्याः पञ्च मृत्तिकाः ॥ ४६ ॥
तथा गिरस्तोंको मल-मूत्र करनेकी जगहकी, वृक्षोंकी जड़की, बावड़ी, कुआ और तालाबकी इन पाँच स्थानोंकी भी मिट्टी शौचके लिए काममें न लेनी चाहिए ॥ ४६ ॥
मार्गोपरस्मशानस्थां पांसुलां मतिमास्त्यजेत । कीटाङ्गारास्थिसंयुक्ता नाहरेत्कर्करान्विताः ॥ ४७ ॥
तथा रास्तेकी मिट्टी, ऊपर जमीनकी मिट्टी, मशानकी मिट्टी तथा धूल मिट्टी, कीड़े, अंगार, हड्डी और कंकड़ आदिसे मिली हुई मिट्टी भी न लेना चाहिए ॥ ४७ ॥
आहरेन्मृत्तिकां गेही स्थलीसरित्कूलयोः ।
शुध्दक्षेत्रस्य मध्यस्थ तथा प्रासुकखानिजाम् ॥ ४८ ॥
किन्तु साफ की हुई जमीनकी, नदी के किनारेकी, जोते हुए खेतकी और प्रांसुक खानकी मिट्टी काममें लेवे ॥ ४८ ॥
अलामे मृदस्तूक्ताया यस्मिन्देशे तु या भवेत् ।
तया शौचं प्रकुर्वीत गृही मृत्तिकयाऽपि च ॥ ४९ ॥
ऊपर चारों वर्णों के योग्य जो मिट्टी बताई गई है यदि वह न मिल सके तो जिस देशमें जैसी मिट्टी मिलती हो उसीसे गृहस्थजतं शौच कर सकते हैं ॥ ४९ ॥
अर्धविल्वफलमात्रा प्रथमा मृत्तिका स्मृता ।
द्वितीया तु तृतीया तु तदर्धार्धा प्रकीर्तिता ॥ ५० ॥
उस मिट्टीकी कई गोलियें बनावे | पहली गोली बिल्वफलके बराबर बनावें; दूसरी इससे आधी और तीसरी इससे आधी इस तरह आधी आधी बनावे ॥ ५० ॥
एका लिजे करे तिस्र उभयं पादयुग्मके ।
पञ्चापाने नखे सप्त सर्वाने ह्येक एव च ॥ ५१ ॥
एक गोली से लिंगकी, तीनसे हाथोंकी, दोसे दोनों पैरोंकी, पाँचसे गुदस्थानकी, सात से
नखोंकी और एकसे सारे शरीरकी शुद्धि करे ॥ ५१ ॥
