सोमसेनभट्टारकविरचितदिनमें जो यह शौचका विधान बताया गया है उससे रात्रिमें आधा कहा गया है । रोगीके लिए इससे भी आंधा समझना और मार्ग चलते हुए रोगीके लिए इससे भी आंधा जानना ।। ५२ ॥
स्त्रीशूद्रादेरशक्तानां बालानां चोपवीतिनाम् ।
गन्धलेपादिकं कार्य शौचं प्रोक्तं महर्षिभिः ।। ५३ ।। स्त्रियोंकी, शूद्रोंकी, असमर्थ वालकोंकी और जिनका यज्ञोपवीत हो चुका ऐसे बालकोंकी शरीरशुद्धि चन्दनके लेप आदिके करनेसे ही हो जाती है ॥ ५३ ॥
शौचे यत्नः सदा कार्यः शौचमूलो गृही स्मृतः। . शौचाचारविहीनस्य समस्ता निष्फलाः क्रियाः ॥५४॥ गृहस्थोंको अपनी शारीरिक शुद्धिके करनेमें निरन्तर यत्नशील रहना चाहिए । शारीरिक शुद्धि ही उनकी सब क्रियाओंकी मूल जड़ है । जो गृहस्थी शारीरिक शुद्धि नहीं करता है उसकी सभी क्रियाएँ प्रायः निष्फल हैं ॥ ५४ ॥
हदने द्विगुणं मूत्रान्मैथुने त्रिगुणं भवेत् ।
निद्रायां वीर्यपाते च यथायोग्यं समाचरेत् ॥ ५५ ॥ पेशाध.करने पर जो शारीरिक शुद्धि की जाती है उससे दूनी टट्टीके समय और तिगुनी मैथुन के सनम करनी चाहिए । तया सोते सोते वीर्यपात हो जाय तो यथायोग्य अपनी शुद्धि करे ॥ ५५॥
पादपृष्ठे पादतले तिस्रस्तिस्रश्च मृत्तिकाः ।
एकैकया मृदा पादौ हस्तौ प्रक्षालयेत्तदा ॥ ५६ ॥ पेशाब आदिके समय पैरोंके ऊपर और नीचे (पगतली पर ) तीन तीन बार मिट्टी चुपड़े। इसके बाद एक एक मिट्टीकी गोलीसे हाथ पैर धोवे ॥ ५६ ॥
वामं प्रक्षालयेत्पादं शूद्रादेर्वा कथञ्चन ।
शौचाहते वामपादं पश्चाद्दक्षिणमेव च ॥ ५७ ॥ बायें पैरको प्रथम धोवे, बाद दाहिने पैरको धोवे । शूद्र आदि जैसा चाहे वैसा करें; परंतु वे भी शौचके बिना कार्योंमें बायें पैरको पहले धोवे बाद दाहिने पैरको धोवे ॥ ५७ ॥
इति शौचविधिः। किय९रं ततो गत्वा वसित्वा. निर्मले स्थले । तपादौ च प्रक्षाल्य मुखभावनमाचरेत् ॥ ५८ ॥
