"यह विभिन्न जातियों में विवाह नहीं होता । प्रथम जाति में प्रामण धार्मिक पुरुष हैं । वे धर्म रक्षा करते हैं, पवित्र जीवन यापन करते हैं एवं अत्यन्त कठोर नियमों का पालन करते हैं। द्वितीय क्षत्रियों की जाति है वे युग युग से शासन करते आ रहे हैं, कर्तव्य परायण एवं दानशाल हैं। तृतीय वैश्य वणिक जाति है वे वाणिज्य में क्रय विक्रय-करते हैं एव देश विदेशों में लाभ जनक व्यवसाय करते हैं। चतुर्थ कृषि जीबी हैं, वे खेती और खेत के कामों में परिश्रम करते है। इन चारों वर्णो में जाति की शुद्धता और अशुद्धतां से अपना २ स्थान निश्चित होता है। निकट आत्मीयों में विवाह निषिद्ध है। कोई स्त्री एक विवाह के बाद दूसरा स्वानी सहज नहीं कर सकती ,

For ages, they bevo.buen the governing class. They apply themselves to virtue ( humanity) and kindness. The third is called vaisyas, the merchant class: they engage in commercial exchange, and they follow profit at home and abroad. The fourth is called Sudras, the agricultural class: they labour in ploughing and tillage. In the four classes, purity or impurlty of caste assigns every one to his place.
