PM प्रयोजनवश बोलना पड़े तो विद्वान् साधु जीमनवार को यह संखडि है, चोर
को यह धन के लिए संकट सहकर स्वार्थ सिद्ध करने वाला है, नदी को यह नदी So समतल तट वाली है, इस प्रकार की निरवद्य भाषा बोले॥३७॥
36, 37. A shraman should also not use a language that gives impression of his liking for things or acts that are prohibited for an ascetic. Such as-When he comes to know of a feast at some place he should not say that a householder should indulge in such welfare activities in memory of his ancestors. When he sees a thief he should not say that this
thief should be beaten. And when he sees a well made El bankment on a river-bank he should not say that how beautiful the bank was.
If at all he wants to make a comment he should say This is a feast. He earns his living by embracing trouble. This is a level bankment–instead of the above said statements. ३८ : तहा नईओ पुन्नाओ कायतिज्ज त्ति नो वए।
नावाहिं तारिमाउ त्ति पाणिपिज्ज त्ति नो वए॥ ३९ : बहुवाहडा अगाहा बहुसलिलुप्पिलोदगा।
बहुवित्थडोदगा आवि एवं भासिज्ज पन्नवं॥ इसी प्रकार नदियों के विषय में “ये नदियाँ जल से पूरी तरह भरी हुई बह रही हैं, भुजाओं से तैरकर पार करने योग्य हैं, नौकाओं द्वारा तैरने योग्य हैं, तथा इसके तट पर सभी प्राणी सुखपूर्वक बैठकर जल पी सकते हैं" इस प्रकार नहीं बोलना चाहिए।॥३८॥ . .
नदियों को देखकर यदि कुछ कहना ही हो तो इस प्रकार कह. सकता है कि “ये नदियाँ प्रायः जल से भरी हुई हैं, गम्भीर हैं (गहरी हैं), अन्य नदियों के जल-प्रवाह को पीछे हटाने वाली हैं, बहुत विस्तृत पानी वाली हैं और चौड़े पाट वाली हैं।"|३९॥
