પ્રાર્થના પછી કોંગ્રેસમૅન ફ્રેંક પલોને, જુનિયર ઑફ ન્યુ જર્સી, જે આ પ્રસંગના પ્રસ્તુતકર્તા હતા તેમણે જૈન ફિલસૂફી તથા અહિંસાની સમૃદ્ધિની વાત કરી. તે ઉપરાંત ઉત્તર અમેરિકાના જૈન સંપ્રદાયને આ પ્રસંગના આયોજન બદલ પણ ખૂબ આભાર માન્યો. તેમણે કહ્યું, “મને લાગે છે કે તમે એક રીતે કહી શકો કે મહાવીર સ્વામી તેમના સમયથી ઘણા આગળ હતા, જેમણે ત્યારે કહ્યું હતું કે બધા માણસો, સ્ત્રી કે પુરુષ, ગરીબ કે તવંગર એક સમાન છે. તેમણે હાઉસ ચેપ્લિનને તે દિવસે જૈનત્વની ઉજવણી કરવા માટે હાઉસની પસંદગીને મંજૂરી આપી તે માટે પણ આભાર માન્યો હતો.
