Sarvatobhadrikd pratimd, -literally 'an image lovely on all sides,' is apparently a technical term for a fourfold mage, one being carved on each side of a four-faced column. Compare the use of sarutobhadra deudlaya, which, according to Varahamihira's Brihat-Sush., LVI, 27, mwana's temple with four doors and baby spires,' i.e., such one which looks equally pleasing from all sides.
