________________ अनेक गुणों से सुसज्जित करने से जिन जीवों का परस्पर नित्य विरोध है, वे पास में हों तो उनके वैरभाव को भी शान्त कर देती है ॥११॥ किं दानेन तपोभिर्वा यमैश्च नियमैश्च किम् ? एकैव समता सेव्या तरिः संसारवारिधौ ॥१२॥ भावार्थ : दान करने या तप करने से क्या लाभ? अथवा यमों और नियमों के पालन से भी क्या फायदा? एकमात्र समता की ही आराधना करनी चाहिए, जो संसाररूपी समुद्र में नौका के समान है ॥१२॥ दूरे स्वर्गसुखं मुक्तिपदवी या दवीयसी । मनः सन्निहितं दृष्टं स्पष्टं तु समतासुखम् ॥१३॥ I भावार्थ : स्वर्ग का सुख तो दूर है और मुक्ति की पदवी और भी ज्यादा दूर है, परन्तु अपने मन के समीप रहा हुआ समता का सुख तो प्रत्यक्ष और स्पष्ट है । देवलोक में रहने वाले देवों का पंचेन्द्रिय - विषयों से उत्पन्न सुख तो चक्षु आदि इन्द्रियों से अग्राह्य दूरस्थ - प्रदेश में है, इसलिए दूर है, और अनन्तसुखमय मोक्षस्थान तो और भी अत्यन्त दूर प्रदेश में है, ये दोनों स्पष्ट दिखाई नहीं देते; परन्तु रागद्वेषादिरहित मन की परिणति से उत्पन्न स्वाभाविक, स्वाधीन एवं मन के निकट स्थित समतासुख तो प्रत्यक्ष अनुभूत है, और अपने हृदय में ९० अध्यात्मसार
