भयंकर परिणामों का विचार करने से आँखों में आँसू आ जाते हैं ॥१३॥ इह ये गुणपुष्पपूरिते धृतिपत्नीमुपगुह्य शेरते । विमले सुविकल्पतल्पके क्व बहिःस्पर्शरता भवन्तु ते ? ॥१४॥
भावार्थ : जो साधक इस जगत् में गुणरूपी पुष्पों से परिपूर्ण निर्मल शुभ विकल्परूपी पलंग पर धृतिरूपी पत्नी का आलिंगन करके सोते हैं, वे स्त्री आदि के बाह्य स्पर्श में आसक्त क्यों होंगे? ॥१४॥ हृदि निर्वृतिमेव बिभ्रतां न मदे चन्दनलेपनाविधिः । विमलत्वमुपेयुषां सदा सलिलस्नानकलाऽपि निष्फला ॥१५॥
भावार्थ : हृदय में जो परमशान्ति धारण किये हुए हैं, उन्हें शरीर पर चन्दन के लेप करने से कोई प्रसन्नता नहीं होती। सदा निर्मल आत्मभावों को प्राप्त करने वालों के लिए जल से स्नान करने की कला भी निष्फल है ॥१५॥ गणयन्ति जनुः स्वमर्थवत्सुरतोल्लाससुखेन भोगिनः । मदनाहिविषोग्रमूर्च्छनामयतुल्यं नु तदेव योगिनः ॥१६॥
भावार्थ : भोगीजन मैथुन के विलासरूप सुख से अपना जन्म सफल मानते हैं, लेकिन योगीजन उसी सुख को कामरूपी सर्प के विष की उग्रमूर्च्छनारूपी व्याधि के सदृश मानते हैं ॥१६॥ ७२
