________________ में जल की प्रतीति देखकर उस जल को लेने जाता है; परन्तु हाथ कुछ नहीं आता, वैसे ही विषय - भोग है । ऐसा समझकर इस मनुष्यलोक में कौन इस कुत्सितमार्ग से अभीष्ट स्थल पर पहुँच सकता है? ॥१८॥ स तत्रैव भवोद्विग्नो यथा तिष्ठत्यसंशयं । मोक्षमार्गेऽपि हि तथा भोगजंबाल मोहितः ॥ १९ ॥ भावार्थ : परमार्थदृष्टियुक्त जीव गृहस्थ में भी संसार से उद्विग्न रहता है; जबकि भोगी मोक्षमार्ग में भी भोगरूपी शैवाल (काई) से लिपटा रहता है ॥ १९ ॥ धर्मशक्तिं न हन्त्यत्र भोगयोगो बलीयसीम् । हन्ति दीपापहो वायुर्ज्वलनं न दवानलम् ॥२०॥ भावार्थ : दीपक को बुझाने वाला वायु जैसे जाज्वल्यमान दावानल को नहीं बुझा सकता, वैसे ही भोग का योग अतिबलवती धर्मशक्ति का नाश नहीं कर सकता ||२०| बध्यते बाढमासक्तौ यथा श्लेष्मणि मक्षिका । शुष्कगोलवदश्लिष्टो विषयेभ्यो न बध्यते ॥२१॥ भावार्थ : जैसे श्लेष्म (कफ) में मक्खी फंस जाती है, वैसे ही विषय की गाढ़ आसक्ति में जीव फंस जाता है; किन्तु जैसे सूखी मिट्टी के गोले में मक्खी नहीं फंसती है, वैसे ही आसक्ति से रहित उदासीन जीव विषय में नहीं फंसता है ॥२१॥ ५० अध्यात्मसार
