उपायैः स्तुत्याद्यैरपनयति षं कथमपीत्यहो मोहस्यैवं भवभवनवैषम्यघटना ॥१६॥
भावार्थ : स्वयं गुणी पुरुष भी प्रचुरधननिधि वाले धनाढ्यों के नेत्रों के मनोहर कोण देखकर हर्षित हो जाते हैं, और उन्हीं की रोषयुक्त दृष्टि देखकर खिन्न हो जाते हैं । तब उनकी स्तति (प्रशंसा) आदि उपायों से बडी मश्किल से उन्हें मनाकर उनका रोष दूर करते हैं । अहो ! संसाररूपी भवन में मोहनीयकर्म की ऐसी ही विषम रचना है ॥१६।। प्रिया प्रेक्षा पुत्रो विनय, इह पुत्री गुणरतिर्विवेकाख्यस्तातः परिणतिरनिंद्या च जननी ॥ विशुद्धस्य स्वस्य स्फुरति हि कुटुम्ब स्फुटमिदं । भवे तन्नो दृष्टं तदपि बत संयोगसुखधीः ॥१७॥ ____ भावार्थ : इस अन्तरंग कुटुम्ब में प्रेक्षा (तत्त्वचिन्ता) नाम की प्रिया है, विनय नामक पुत्र है, गुणरति नाम की पुत्री है, विवेक नाम का पिता और शुद्ध निर्मल परिणति माता है। इस प्रकार विशुद्ध आत्मा का कुटुम्ब स्फटिक के समान स्पष्टतः प्रतिभासित होता है । इस कुटुम्ब को अनादि-संसार में परिभ्रमण करते हुए प्राणी ने देखा ही नहीं; फिर भी उसे स्त्रीपुत्रादि बाह्यकुटुम्ब में संयोगसुख की बुद्धि (इच्छा) मौजूद है, यही आश्चर्य है ॥१७॥
