धर्मस्य गतिहेतुत्वं गुणो ज्ञानं तथाऽऽत्मनः । धर्मास्तिकायतद्भिन्नमात्मद्रव्यं जगुर्जिनाः ॥४९॥
भावार्थ : धर्मास्तिकाय का गुण गति में कारण (हेतुत्व) बनता है और आत्मा का गुण ज्ञान है। इसी कारण जिनेश्वरों ने जीवद्रव्य को धर्मास्तिकाय से भिन्न कहा है ॥४९॥ अधर्मे स्थितिहेतुत्वं गुणो ज्ञानगुणोऽसुमान् । ततोऽधर्मास्तिकायान्यमात्मद्रव्यं जगुर्जिनाः ॥५०॥
भावार्थ : अधर्मास्तिकाय का गुण स्थिति में कारणरूप है; जबकि जीवद्रव्य का गुण ज्ञान है । इसलिए तीर्थंकरों ने जीवद्रव्य को अधर्मास्तिकाय से भिन्न कहा है ॥५०॥ अवगाहो गुणो व्योम्नो, ज्ञानं खल्वात्मनो गुणः । व्योमास्तिकायात्तद्भिन्नमात्मद्रव्यं जगुर्जिनाः ॥५१॥
भावार्थ : आकाश का गुण अवकाश देना है; जबकि आत्मा का गुण ज्ञान है । इसलिए तीर्थंकरों ने आत्मद्रव्य को आकाशास्तिकाय से भिन्न कहा है ॥५१॥ आत्मा ज्ञानगुणः सिद्धः, समयो वर्तनागुणः । तद्भिन्नं समयद्रव्यादात्मद्रव्यं जगुर्जिनाः ॥५२॥
भावार्थ : आत्मा ज्ञानरूप गुणवाला है, यह निर्विवाद सिद्ध है, जब कि समय (काल) वर्त्तनागुण वाला है। इसलिए सर्वज्ञों ने आत्मद्रव्य को कालद्रव्य से भिन्न कहा है ॥५२॥ अधिकार अठारहवाँ
