भावार्थ : आत्मा का बोध ज्ञान नाम की चेतना कहलाती है, और उसका द्वेषत्व और रागित्व कर्म नाम की चेतना कहलाती है और उसी के कर्मफल को कर्मफल नाम की चेतना कहते हैं, वही वेदना के नाम से पुकारी जाती है ॥४५॥ नात्मा तस्मादमूर्त्तत्वं चैतन्यं नातिवर्तते । अतो देहेन नैकत्वं तस्य मूर्त्तेन कर्हिचित् ॥४६॥
भावार्थ : इस कारण आत्मा अमूर्त्तत्व और चेतनत्त्व का उल्लंघन नहीं करता । यही कारण है कि मूर्त्त शरीर के साथ आत्मा का एकत्व कभी नहीं होता ॥ ४६॥
सन्निकृष्टान्मनो - वाणी - कर्मादेरपि पुद्गलात् । विप्रकृष्टाद्धनादेश्च भाव्यैवं भिन्नताऽऽत्मनः ॥४७॥
भावार्थ : इस प्रकार मन, वाणी, कर्म आदि समीपवर्ती पुद्गलों से तथा धन आदि दूरवर्ती पुद्गलों से भी आत्मा की भिन्नता समझनी चाहिए ॥४७॥
पुद्गलानां गुणो मूर्तिरात्मा ज्ञानगुणः पुनः । पुद्गलेभ्यस्ततो भिन्नमात्मद्रव्यं जगुर्जिनाः ॥४८॥
भावार्थ : पुद्गलों का गुण मुर्तिमत्त्व है, और आत्मा का गुण ज्ञान है; इसलिए जिनेन्द्रों ने आत्मद्रव्य को पुद्गलों से भिन्न कहा है ॥४८॥
