________________ I साधनरूपी उक्त सभी धर्म दूषित हो जाते हैं । उसकी उक्त सभी क्रियाएँ निकम्मी और निष्फल हो जाती हैं ॥५॥ सुत्यजं रसलाम्पट्यं सुत्यजं देहभूषणम् । सुत्यजाः कामभोगाश्च दुस्त्यजं दम्भसेवनम् ॥६॥ भावार्थ : सुस्वादु आहार की रस- लोलुपता छोड़ना आसान है, शरीर का शृंगार भी छोड़ना सरल है । काम-भोगों को भी आसानी से छोड़ा जा सकता है; लेकिन दम्भ का त्याग करना अत्यन्त कठिन है ||६|| स्वदोष-निह्नवो लोकः पूजा स्याद् गौरवंतथा । इयतैव कदर्थ्यन्ते, दम्भेन बत बालिशाः ॥७॥ भावार्थ : अपने दोषों को छिपाने वाले लोग यों सोचते कि ऐसा करने से लोगों में हमारी पूजा - प्रतिष्ठा होगी, हमारा गौरव बढ़ेगा, लेकिन सचमुच वे मूर्ख इतने से दम्भ से ही विडम्बना (फजीहत) पाते हैं ||७|| 11911 असतीनां यथा शीलमशीलस्यैव वृद्धये । दम्भेनाव्रतवृद्धयर्थं व्रतं वेषभृतां तथा ॥८॥ भावार्थ : जैसे कुलटा स्त्रियों का शील दुराचार की ही वृद्धि के लिए होता है, वैसे ही कोरे वेशधारी साधुओं के व्रतग्रहण (दीक्षा) भी दम्भ के कारण अव्रत (पाप) की वृद्धि के हेतु होते हैं ॥८॥ अधिकार तीसरा २३
