________________ SAMAYIK AND PRATIKRAMAN ichchha:mi bhamte! imam niggamtham pavayanam anuttaram kevaliyam, padipunnam, nega:iyam, sa:ma:iyam, samsuddham, sallaghatta:nam, sallaghatta:nam, siddhimaggam, sedhimaggam, khamtimaggam, muttimaggam, pamuttimaggam, mokkhamaggam, pamokkhamaggam, nijja:namaggam, nivva:namaggam, savva-duhkhapariha:nimaggam, suchariyapari nivva:namaggam, avitaham avisanti pavayanam, uttamam tam saddaha:mi, tam pattiya:mi, tam rochemi, tam pha:semi, idottaram annam natthi, na bhu:dam, na bhavissadi, nainena var, damsanena va, charitteņa va:, suttena va:, idoji:va: sijjharti, bujjharti, muchchamti, pari-nivva:nayanti, savva dukkha:namaṁtamkaremti, padi-viya:namti, samanomi, samjadomi, uvaradomi, uvasamtomi, uvadhi-niyadi-mana-ma:ya:-mosamu:ranamichchha:na:na-michchha:damsana-michchha:charittam cha padiviradomi, sammana:ņasammadaṁsana-sammacharittam cha rochemi, jam jinavarehim pannatto, ittha me jo koi: devasio (rario) aicha:ro ana:cha:ro tassa michchha: me dukkadam. Eng. O Lord! I wish to attain the state of non-attach ment. Till I undergo the cycle of births and deaths may I get the most auspicious, worshipped in all the three worlds. The state of absolute non-attach (167) बृहत्सामायिक-प्रतिक्रमण पाठ ment and possessiveness in lives to come. The state of absolute non-attachment and passionless-ness is free from external and internal possessions. The best (Salvation can be attained only through the path of non-attachment and passionless-ness - hence it is supreme - the best). It is the originator of omniscience. It is the seed of three jewels - right faith, right knowledge and right conduct. It is free from all the sinful activities of mind, speech and body. It is the cause of absolute indifference. It is absolutely pure since endowed with the virtues of confession, repentance, non-violated ritual of 'Pratikraman'. It is free from three stings of illusion (deceit), falseness and desire for worldly pleasures in the next life (ma:ya:, mithya:, nida:n). It is the main path of liberation. It is the direct way of destruction and destruction cum subsidence of Karmas. It being free from the vices of possession, anger, pride, deceit, greed lust, confusion - is the best and the direct way to attain the state of nonattached and passionless supreme soul. It is the path of renunciation, salvation the highest state of the being. It is free from the birth-cycle. It is flawless. It is the path of eradicating every sorrow.
