D. 804, fell in the year Subhanu which lasted from the 17th June, A. D. 803, to the 12th June, A. D. 804. I give the date here, merely, because it is the earliest available Saka date in a dark fortnight which shews the amânta scheme of the lunar month and admits of verification.
