In this poem, Shrimad Rajchandra gives expression to his deep rooted aspirations for attaining the highest spiritual ideal. Through the 21 stanzas of this poem he maps the soul's journey from the lowest rung (Mithatva gunashtana) of the spiritual ladder to the highest (Ayogi kevali gunasthana) and beyond (state of the liberated soul).
One gets a lucid and soul stirring description of the internal and external activities of the ardent spiritual aspirant. So fervent is the import of the poem the even Muni Harshchandraji, one of the foremost critics of Shrimad Rajchandra has praised the zeal and dedication of the poet in no uncertain terms while reviewing this poem.
