छन्दोदर्शनम
अन्वयभाष्यम्। हे सरस्वति! त्वं प्रतीची प्रत्यङ्मुखा सती ब्रह्मणा सह आत्मन् सर्वेषां अन्तरात्मनि चिता चेतनया ज्योतिषा च स्वयं संविदाना ज्ञानशक्तिप्रधाना सती स्फुरसि सञ्चेष्टसे, तस्याः इदं वास्तवं स्वरूपम्-अननूच्या वचनादिव्यापाररहिता, अस्वरा स्वरादिशून्या, अनिनदा नादादिसूक्ष्मध्वनिनाऽपि विरहिता, अनाहता आवातादिक्रियामन्तरेणाऽपि स्वतःसिद्धा, ब्रह्मात्मवत् इति, हे वाक् ! सा त्वं ब्रह्मणः परमस्य आत्मनः अन्त: अन्तरङ्गात्मिका, विदा सविदा पूर्वा सर्वेभ्योऽपि प्राचीना अत एव प्रधाना प्रथमा च प्रतिमा प्रतीकरूपा तनू : असि इति ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION
Oh Sarasvati ! as an introvert (introspective ) united with Brahma who is full of knowledge, you shine in the inner souls of all. This is your original state, in which you are inexpressible, that is incapable of being expressed in words. In that condition you have no sound whatever. You are not caused by any other agency. You are that Våk, you are the first form of Brahma, who is consciousness itself.
द्वितीया ऋक् । सरस्वति त्वं ब्रह्मणश्चितोदिता नदतः प्रति ज्योतिषा नदस्यन्तः॥ अक्षरं ती खे नदति ब्रह्म साक्षाद्
वाग् विदा प्रतिमाऽन्तर्ब्रह्मणः पूर्वी ॥२॥ पदपाठ :- सरस्वति । त्वम् । ब्रह्मणः । चिता । उत्ऽईता ।
नदतः । प्रति। ज्योतिषा । नदास । अन्तरित ।। अक्षरम् । तत् । ईम् इति । खे । नदति । ब्रह्म । साक्षात् । वाक् । विदा । प्रतिऽमा । अन्तरिति । ब्रह्मणः । पूर्वा ॥
Oh Sarasvati ! you manifest yourself by His power of animation. He creates sound by His power of light and you reflect it back in the soul. The invisible Brahma creates the sound İM in the sky. You are .Vāk, the very primal form of the inner Brahma as consciousness.
