व: पौरुषावलेपो बलवता देवेन, दूरं गतोऽसौ, तदलमेतच्चिन्तया, कुरुत सांप्रतकालोचितं कृत्यम्। अद्यैव कमलगुप्त पुरस्कृत्य यात साकेतम्, अर्पयताधिकारिणामत्र यत्किंचिदर्जितं कुमारेण द्रव्यजातम् आराधयत मुक्त्वा छद्मपादपद्मद्वयं कौशलेन्द्रस्य। मुंचत च सर्वात्मना मय्यपेक्षाम् अहं हि प्रथम दर्शन एव दैवेन भृत्यतां कुमारस्यानीत: न तद्विरहितेन मया क्षणमपीहस्थातव्यम।।
