________________ ३०८ मूलाचार भाषां विनयविहीनां धर्मविरोधि विवर्जयंति वचनं । पृष्टमपृष्टं वा नापि ते भाषते सत्पुरुषाः॥ ८५३॥ अर्थ-सत्पुरुष वे मुनि विनयरहित कठोर भाषाको तथा धर्मसे विरुद्ध वचनोंको छोड़ देते हैं। और अन्य भी विरोध करनेवाले वचनोंको कभी नहीं बोलते ॥ ८५३ ॥ अच्छीहिंअ पेच्छंता कण्णेहिंय बहुविहाय सुणमाणा। अत्थंति मूयभूया ण ते करंति हुलोइयकहाओ॥८५४ अक्षिभिः पश्यंतः कर्णैः च बहुविधानि शृण्वंतः। तिष्ठंति मूकभूता न ते कुर्वति हि लौकिककथाः ॥८५४॥ अर्थ-वे साधु नेत्रोंसे सब योग्य अयोग्यको देखते हैं और कानोंसे सब तरहके शब्दोंको सुनते हैं परंतु वे गूंगेके समान तिष्ठते हैं लौकिकीकथा नहीं करते ॥ ८५४ ॥ इत्थिकहा अत्थकहा भत्तकहा खेडकवडाणं च । रायकहा चोरकहा जणवदणयरायरकहाओ ॥८५५॥ स्वीकथा अर्थकथा भक्तकथा खेटकर्वटयोश्च । राजकथा चोरकथा जनपदनगराकरकथाः ॥ ८५५॥ अर्थ-स्त्री संबंधी कथा धनकथा भोजनकथा नदीपर्वतसे घिराहुआ स्थान उसकी कथा पर्वतसे ही घिरा हुआ स्थान उसकी कथा राजकथा चोरकथा देश नगर कथा खानि संबंधी कथा ८५५ णडभडमल्लकहाओ मायाकरजल्लमुट्ठियाणं च । अजउललंघियाणं कहासु ण विरजए धीरा ॥ ८५६॥ नटभटमल्लकथाः मायाकरजल्लमुष्टिकयोश्च । आयोकुललंपिकानां कथासु नापि रज्यंते धीराः॥८५६॥
