(श्रावक धर्म विधि प्रकरण)
46. To be free of doubts (1), to be free of desires (2), to have non-skeptic approach (3), to have unwavering faith (4), to praise the virtuous (5), to stabilise religious faith of the wavering(6), to have fraternal attitude for co-religionists (7), and to promote the religious order (8); these are the eight codes of darshanachar. निस्संकियाइरूवं, विवक्खचाएण होइ केसिंचि । तेसि विवक्खसरूवं, भन्नइ सेसाण नियरूवं ॥ ४७ ॥
४७. कुछ (लोगों) को नि:शंकित आदि दर्शनाचार के स्वरूप का लाभ, उनके प्रतिपक्ष - शंका, कांक्षा, विचिकित्सा
और मूढ दृष्टि का त्याग / परिहार करने पर होता है। अत:शंकादि केस्वरूपका प्रतिपादन करते हैं। शेष -उपबृंहण, स्थिरीकरण, वात्सल्य, प्रभावना तो आत्म स्वरूप ही है।
47. Some people can attain the first four attributes of darshanachar by getting rid of the opposites — doubt, desire, suspicion, and ignorance. Therefore these four opposites will be described now. The other four-praise, stability, fraternity, and promotion of religious order -- are self dependent. संसयकरणं संका, कंखा अन्नोनदसणग्गाहो। संतम्मि वि वितिगिच्छा, सिज्झेज न मे अयं अट्ठो॥ ४८ ॥
४८. संशय-अर्हत् प्रतिपादित तत्त्वों में शंका करना, कांक्षा अर्थात् अन्य-अन्य दर्शनों (धर्मो) की अभिलाषा करना, विचिकित्साअर्थात् त्याग एवंतपस्यादिसे मेरी कार्य सिद्वि होगी या नहीं अथवा इनका फल प्राप्त होगा या नहीं, और ये निष्फल तो नहीं है ? ऐसा मतिभ्रम होना मूढ दृष्टि है।
