68. Samyaktva is faith in the tenets of the omniscient. In this there is no prejudice for false or non-existent. Kshayopasham (the process of extinction-cum-suppression) of unrighteousness and acquisition of virtues like sushrusha (taking care of others; attending to the needs of others), strengthens samyaktva.
सुस्सूस धम्मराओ, गुरुदेवाणं जहासमाहीए वेयावच्चें नियमो, वयपडिवत्तीए भयणा उ ॥

६९. ( शुश्रूषा आदि गुणों का कथन करते हैं :-) शुश्रूषा, धर्म के प्रति अनुराग, गुरु अर्थात् धर्माचार्य और देव अर्थात् अर्हन्त के साधना एवं ध्यान में विघ्न न हो, उन्हें समाधि रहे। इस प्रकार उनकी नियमपूर्वक वैयावृत्त्य अर्थात् सेवा करना और यथाशक्ति व्रतों का पालन करना ।
69. (Description of virtues – ) Sushrusha or the desire to listen to the tenets of the omniscient; devotion for religion; to serve the guru and Arhants with devotion taking special care of their spiritual practices and general comfort, and to observe vows to the best of ones capability.
जं सा अहिगयराओ, कम्मखओवसमओ न य तओ वि । होइ परिणामभेया, लहुं ति तम्हा इहं भयणा ॥ ७० ॥
७०. सम्यक्त्व लाभ के पश्चात् व्रतांगीकरण की इच्छा भी कर्मों के क्षयोपशम अथवा क्षय के बिना नहीं होती है । पुनः कर्मों का क्षयोपक्षम परिणाम भेद पर आधारित होता है, अत: व्रतप्रतिपत्ति में भजना अर्थात् विकल्प रहता है, जब कि गुरु की शुश्रूषा एवं सेवा तो नियमत: करनी ही होता है।
70. Even after attaining samyaktva or righteousness, the will to accept vows does not arise in absence of kshayopasham (the process of extinction-cum-suppression of karmas) or kshaya (extinction)of karmas. Thus, the acceptance and observance of
