. Commonly the vimānās are made of Quartz but those vimānās which are rotating above the Lavana ocean are made of Udakasfatika jewel (i.e. the jewel which has the miraculous power of spliting the water into two divisions. Hence, these vimānās safely pass through the wall of water which is present in the middle of Lavana samudra.) 53 જોયણિગસદ્દિ ભાગા, છપ્પન અડયાલ ગાઉ દુ ઈગદ્ધ ! " ચંદાઈ-વિમાણાયામ-વિOડા અદ્ધમુચ્ચત્ત પરા - ચન્દ્ર વગેરેના વિમાનોની લંબાઈ અને પહોળાઈ = યોજન, ' યોજન, ર ગાઉ, ૧ ગાઉ અને ગાઉ છે, ઉંચાઈ તેના કરતા અડધી છે. (૫૪).
Length and breadth of the Moon, the Sun, the planets, the constellations and the stars is si yojana, i yojana, two gāus, one gāu and ž gāu respectively. (Four gāu makes one yojana). મનુષ્યક્ષેત્ર ૪૫ લાખ યોજનનું છે. ત્યાં આ (ચન્દ્ર વગેરે) સદા ભમતા હોય છે. મનુષ્યક્ષેત્રની બહાર તે ચન્દ્ર વગેરે અડધા પ્રમાણવાળા હોય છે અને હંમેશા સ્થિર હોય છે. (૫૫)
The celestial bodies (vimānās) located in the humanworld (Adhidweepa) which is of 45 Lakh yojanās, are constantly moving. Those which are outside the human-world are still.
