22–28 At the King's request the author composed
this work called Sțngārārņava-Candrikā. 29–32 Kāvya ( Literature ) and its kinds :
Padya ( Verse ), Gadya ( Prose) and Miśra ( Mixed );' these three varieties are then defined and subdiyi ded, into nine divisions on the basis of their being Uttama, Madhyama or Jaghanya. These three terms
