________________ anuammarwarimurrani riaastm सोमसेनभट्टारकविरचित । __हिंसा, झूठ, चौरी, मैथुन और परिग्रहसे विरक्त होना बत हैं। ये व्रत पांच हैं, जो साक्षात् मोक्ष सुखकी प्राप्तिके कारण हैं ॥ २३ ॥ पांच समितियोंके नाम । र्याभाषणादाननिक्षेपमलमोचनाः । पञ्च समितयः प्रोक्ता व्रतानां मलशोधिकाः ॥२४॥ ईयर्यासमिति, भाषासमिति, एषणासमिति, आदाननिक्षेपसमिति और उत्सर्गसमिति-इस तरह समिति पांच प्रकारकी कही गई है, जो व्रतोंमें लगे हुए दोषोंको दूर करनेवाली है अर्थात् व्रतोंका रक्षण करनेवाली हैं ॥ २४ ॥ पांचों समितियों का जुदा जुदा लक्षण । युगान्तरदृष्टितोऽग्रे गच्छेदीर्यापथे प्रभुः । भाषा विचार्य वक्तव्या वस्तु ग्राह्यं निरीक्ष्य च ॥ २५॥ मासुका भुज्यते भुक्तिर्निजन्तौ मुच्यते मलः। समितयश्च पञ्चैता यतीनां व्रतशुद्धये ॥ २६ ॥ ___ सामनेकी चार हाथ जमीनको देखकर चलनेको ईर्यासमिति, विचारकर हित-मित बोलनेको भाषासमिति, देख-शोधकर वस्तुके रखने और उठानेको आदान-निक्षेपसमिति, मासुक आहार ग्रहण करनेको भिक्षा या एषणासमिति और जीव-जन्तु-रहित स्थानमें मल-मूत्र करनेको उत्सर्गसमिति कहते हैं । ये पांचों समितियां मुनियोंके व्रतोंको शुद्ध करनेके लिए हैं ॥ २५-१६ ॥ गुप्ति और तपोंके भेद । यत्नेन परिरक्षेत मनोवाकायगुप्तयः । द्वादशधा तपः प्रोक्तं कर्मशत्रुविनाशकम् ।। २७ ॥ अनशनावमोदर्य तृतीयं वस्तुसंख्यकम् । रसत्याग पृथक्शय्यासनं भवति पञ्चमम् ॥ २८ ॥ कायक्लेशं भवेत्षष्ठं पोटा वाह्यतपः स्मृतम् । . विनयः प्रायश्चित्ताख्यं वैयासत्यं तृतीयकम् ।। २९ ॥ कायोत्सर्ग तथा ध्यानं षष्ठं स्वाध्यायनामकम् । अभ्यन्तरमिति ज्ञेयमेवं द्वादशधा तपः ॥ ३० ॥ मनोगुप्ति, ववनगुसि और कायगुप्ति-इस तरह गुप्तिके तीन भेद हैं। मुनियोंको इन तीन गुप्तियोंका यत्नपूर्वक पालन करना चाहिए । तप बारह प्रकारका है, जो कर्मरूपी शत्रुओंको जड़मूलसे नष्ट करनेवाला है । इसके दो भेद हैं-एक बाह्य तप और दूसरा आभ्यन्तर तप । पहला अनशन, दूसरा अवमोदर्य, तीसरा व्रतपरिसख्यान, चौथा रसत्याग, पांचवां विविक्तशय्यासन और छठा कायक्लेश-इस तरह बाह्य तप छह प्रकारका है । विनय, प्रायश्चित्त, वैयावृत्य, कायोत्सर्ग, ध्यान और स्वाध्याय-ऐसे छह प्रकारका आभ्यन्तर तप है । दोनों मिलकर बारह प्रकारके हैं ।। २७-३०॥
