सोमसेनभट्टारकविरचितजिस कन्याके पैरोंकी उंगलियां बराबर हों, दोनों पैर स्निग्ध-चिकने हो, जमीन पर रखनेसे ज्योंका त्यों जिनका आकार खिंच जावे, कोमल हों और रक्तवर्ण हो, व कन्या घरकी शोभा बढ़ानेवाली है ॥ १४॥
अंगुष्ठेनातिरक्तन भतारं चैव मन्यते ।
अल्पवृत्तः पति हन्याबहुवृत्तः पतिव्रता ॥ १५ ॥ जिसके पैरका अंगूठा खूब लाल हो वह अपने पतिको मान्य होती है । यदि अंगूठा थोड़ा गोल हो तो वह पतिका विनाश करती है और बहुत गोल हो तो पतिव्रता होती है ॥ १५ ॥
उन्नतैश्चन्द्रवत्सौख्यं मुसलैश्च तथैव च।।
सूचितैः पद्मपत्रैश्च पुत्रवत्यः स्त्रियो मताः ॥ १६ ॥ जिसके पैरोंकी उंगलियां चंद्राकार होकर ऊंची उठी हुई हों, वह सुख भोगनेवाली होती है। तथा मूसल जैसी सीधी और कमल जैसी लाल वर्ण हो तो वह पुत्रवती होती है।। १६ ।।
चक्रं पद्मं ध्वजछत्रं स्वस्तिकं वर्तमानकम् ।
यासां पादेषु दृश्यन्ते ज्ञेयास्ता राजयोषितः ॥ १७ ॥ ___ जिनके पैरोंमें चक्र, पद्म, धुजा, छत्र, स्वस्तिक और वर्धमानक, ये चिह्न देखे जायें, उन्हें राज-रानियां समझनी चाहिए ॥ १७ ॥
यस्याः प्रदेशिनी चापि अङ्गुष्ठादधिका भवेत् ।।
दुष्करं कुरुवे नित्यं विधवा वा भविष्यति ॥ १८॥ जिसकी प्रदेशिनी-अंगूठेके पासकी उंगली, अंगूटे से अधिक लंबी हो तो समझना चाहिए कि वह दुष्कर्म करनेवाली है। अथवा वह विधवा होगी ॥ १८॥
यस्याः पादतले रेखा तर्जनीसुमक शिनी ।
भतार लभते शीघ्रं भर्तुः माणपिया भवेत् ॥ १९ ॥ जिसकी पगतलीमें तर्जनी-अंगूठेके पासकी उंगलीके नीचेकी रेखा स्पष्ट दिखती हो तो वह शीघ्र पति प्राप्त करती है । और पतिको प्राणोंसे भी प्यारी होती है ॥ १९ ॥
पादेऽपि मध्यमा यस्याःक्षितिं न स्पृशति यदि ।
द्वौ पूरुपावतिक्रम्य सा तृतीये न गच्छति ॥ २० ॥ जिपके पैरकी बीचली उंगली जमीनपर न टिकती हो तो समझना चाहिए कि वह दो पुरुषोंको छोड़कर तीसरेके पास नहीं जायगी ।। २०॥
अगुल्यश्चाप्यतिक्रम्य यस्याः पादपदेशिनी ।
कुमारी रमते जारयौवने चैव का कथा ॥ २१ ॥ जिसके पैरके अंगूठेके पासको उंगली, सारी उंगलियोंसे अधिक लंबी हो तो वह कुमारी ही यारोंके साथ रमण करती है । यौवन अवस्थामै वह क्या करेगी इसका तो कहना ही क्या है ॥२१॥
