136 D. C. The sky-flying i-e the birds like the vultures etc possess a body 2 to 9 dhanusas long. The brest-going and the arms-going beings said here to possess 2 to 9 yojanas long bodies, are Sammürcchima. The Sammllrcchima quadrupeds also, are 2 to 9 gavyutas in length.
It may be noted here that the term 'mātrā' is used here in the sense of measurement.
