पृष्ट-तात ! तव शीलस्य लेशोऽपि कपिले नास्ति ततः किमयं तव पुत्रो भवति न वेति सत्यं मे कथय । ततस्तेन कथितं पुत्रि ! मदीयचेटिकापुत्र इति । एतदाकर्ण्य तदुपरि विरक्ता सा हठादयं मामभिगमिष्यतीति मत्वा सिंहनन्दिताग्रमहादेव्याः शरणं प्रविष्टा, तया च सा पुत्री ज्ञाता। एवमेकदा श्रीषेणराजेन परमभक्त्या विधिपूर्वकमर्ककी.मितगतिचारणमुनिभ्यां दानं दत्तम् । तत्फलेन राज्ञा सह भोगभूमावुत्पन्ना । तदनुमोदनात् सत्यभामापि तत्रैवोत्पन्ना। स राजा श्रीषेणो दानप्रथमकारणात् पारंपर्येण शान्तिनाथतीर्थकरो जातः । आहारदानफलम् ।
औषधदाने वृषभसेनाया दृष्टान्तः । अस्याः कथाजनपददेशे कावेरीपत्तने राजोग्रसेनः, श्रेष्ठी धनपतिः, भार्या धनश्रीः पुत्री वृषभसेना, तस्या धात्री रूपवती नामा। एकदा वृषभसेनास्नानजलगर्तायां रोगगृहीतं कुक्कुरं पतितलुठितोऽस्थितं रोगरहितमालोक्य चिन्तितं धात्र्या-पुत्रीस्नानजलभेवात्रारोग्यत्वे कारणम् । ततस्तया धात्र्या निजजनन्या द्वादशवार्षिकाक्षिरोगगृहीतायाः कथिते तया लोचने तेन जलेन परीक्षार्थमेकदिने धौते दृष्टी च शोभने जाते ततः सर्वरोगापनयने सा धात्री प्रसिद्धा तत्र नगरे संजाता। एकदोनसेनेन रणपिंगलमंत्री बहुसैन्योपेतो मेघपिंगलोपरि प्रेषितः। स तं देशं प्रविष्टो विषोदकसेवनात् ज्वरेण गृहीतः। स च व्याघुट्यागतः रूपवत्या च तेन जलेन निरोगीकृतः। उनसेनोऽपि कोपात्तत्र गतः तथा ज्वरितो व्याघुव्यायातो रणपिंगलाजलवृत्तान्तमाकर्ण्य तज्जलं याचितवान् । ततो मंत्री उक्तो धनश्रिया भोः श्रेष्ठिन् ! कथं नरपतेः शिरसि पुत्रीस्नानजलं क्षिप्यते ? धनपतिनोक्तं यदि पृच्छति राजा जलस्वभावं तदा सत्यं कथ्यते न दोषः । एवं भणिते रूपवत्या तेन जलेन नीरोगीकृत उग्रसेनः ततो नीरोगेण राज्ञा पृष्टा रूपवती जलस्य माहात्म्यम् । तया च सत्यमेव कथितं । ततो
