अध्याय -5
सम्यग्दृष्टि के आस्रवों का अभाव है -
णत्थि दु आसवबंधो सम्मादिहिस्स आसवणिरोहो। संते पुव्वणिबद्धे जाणदि सो ते अबंधंतो॥
(5-3-166)
सम्यग्दृष्टि के आस्रवनिमित्तक बन्ध नहीं है; किन्तु आस्रव का निरोध है। नवीन कर्मों को न बाँधता हुआ वह सत्ता में विद्यमान पूर्व में बाँधे हुए कर्मों को जानता है।
The right believer has no bondage due to influx of karmas; the influx is blocked. While free from bondage of new karmas, he is aware of the still existing, past bondage of karmas.
रागद्वेष ही आस्रव है -
भावो रागादिजुदो जीवेण कदो दु बंधगो होदि। रागादि-विप्पमुक्को अबंधगो जाणगो णवरि॥
(5-4-167)
जीव के द्वारा किया हुआ रागादियुक्त भाव तो नवीन कर्मों का बन्ध करने वाला होता है और रागादि से रहित भाव बन्ध नहीं करता। वह मात्र ज्ञायक है।
Psychic modes, like attachment etc., of the Self result into bondage of fresh karmas. However, the Self devoid of such psychic modes is free from bondage; he is of the nature of the knower.
