पंचमो आसवाधियारो INFLUX OF KARMAS
दो प्रकार के आस्रव - मिच्छतं अविरमणं कसायजोगा सण्णसण्णा दु। बहुविहभेदा जीवे तस्सेव अणण्णपरिणामा॥

णाणावरणादीयस्स ते दु कम्मस्स कारणं होंति। तेसि पि होदि जीवो रागद्दोसादिभावकरो॥

मिथ्यात्व, अविरति, कषाय और योग (भावप्रत्यय और द्रव्यप्रत्यय के रूप में) चेतन
और अचेतन दो प्रकार के होते हैं। (जो चेतन के विकार हैं वे) जीव में अनेक प्रकार के भेद वाले हैं और वे जीव के ही अनन्य परिणाम हैं। जो मिथ्यात्व आदि पुद्गल के विकार हैं, वे ज्ञानावरण आदि कर्मों के निमित्त हैं। उन मिथ्यात्व आदि अचेतन विकारों का निमित्त राग-द्वेष आदि भावों का कर्ता जीव होता है।
Wrong belief (mithyātva), non-abstinence (avirati), passions (kaşāya), and actions of the body, the organ of speech and the
mind (yoga) are of two kinds – psychical (chetana) and material (achetana). Psychical modifications are of various kinds and they are modes exclusively of the Self. Material modifications, like wrong belief, lead to karmas, like knowledge-obscuring karma. The cause of material modifications, like wrong belief, is the Self when he gets involved in psychic states like attachment and aversion.
