107 He alone is courageous, he alone is vigorous, he alone is learned and he alone is a saint, who gets mastery over bis senses by eurbing bis inind,
जितेन्द्रिय शान्तमनःप्रतिष्ठित कषायमुक्तं ममताविवर्जितम् । स्तुमा प्रसादं दधतं च मानसं स एव सारं लभते स्म जीवनात् ॥ १०८ ।।
૧૦૮ જિતેન્દ્રિય, શાતમ-પ્રતિષ્ઠિત, કષાયમુક્ત અને નિર્મમ એવા પ્રસન્નત્મા આમગીને અમે રતવીએ છીએ. જીવનને સાચો સાર એણે જ મેળવ્યા છે.
108 le lacd him who has got mastery over bis senses, who has attain d quietude of mind, who is free from pusions, who has renounced all selfish desiras and who is possessed of ipnar serenity. Sich & parson alone has acquired the true 0898.ce of human life.
सुखं वाञ्छन् सर्वस्त्रिजगति तदर्थ प्रयतते
तथापि क्लेशानां समनुभवति श्रेणिमनिशम् । तदेवं संसारं विषयविषदुःखैकगहनं
विदित्वा निस्संगीभवति रमते चात्मनि बुधः ।। १०९ ॥
૧૦૯ ત્રણ જગતમાં સર્વ પ્રાણુઓ સુખને ચાહે છે અને તે માટે પ્રયત્ન કરે છે; છતાં નાનાવિધ દુખે તેમને હમેશાં વળગેલાં જ રહે છે. આમ, સંસાર વિષયરૂપ વિશ્વનાં (મહ-માયાનાં) દુઓનું ગહન જંગલ છે એમ સમજી સુશ જન નિઃસંગત્વ (વીતરાગ) પ્રાપ્ત કરી આત્મવિકાસની ભાવનામાં રમત રહે છે, આભમુખ જીવન જીવવા પ્રયત્નવાનું બને છે.
