૧૦૫ ત્રણ જગતનું શાસન કરવાના ખળ કરતાં પણ મનને વશ કરવાનું મળ ચઢી જાય છે. ( વિશ્વ-શાસન કરતાં મનશાસનનું બળ મેહુ' છે. ) વિકારહેતુની ઉપસ્થિતિમાં પણ જેએ વિકૃત થતા નથી, તેએ જ સાચા વીર છે.
105 The strength or power requisite for curbing the mind is of a much superior kind to that required in ruling the three worlds. He is truly great who remains unaffected by seductive passions even in the midst of impellent immoral forces.
ध्येयस्थिरं संविकसद्विवेकमखण्ड धैर्य विषयाद् विरक्तम् । आत्मार्थचिन्तानिरतं मनचेत् किं तस्य कुर्यान्मदनः शिखण्डी १ ॥ १०६ ॥
૧૦૬ મન ધ્યેય પર સ્થિર હાય, વિવેકથી સુવિકસિત હોય, અખંડ ધૈય સમ્પન્ન હેાચ, વિષયવિરક્ત હેાય અને આત્મભાવનામાં નિરત હોય તે ફન્નીબ ( નપુસક ) કામ તેને શું કરવાના હતા ?
106. If an individual possesses & mind that is steady wut fixed on the ideal, endowed with the power of discrimination, possessed of unbroken courage, averse to sensual pleasures and absorbed in the contemplation of self, cupid is powerless before such mind,
स एव वीरो वतवान् स एव स एव विद्वान स पुनर्महात्मा । येनेन्द्रियाणामुपरि स्वसत्ता विस्तारिता मानसनिर्जयेन ॥ १०७ ॥
૧૦૭ તે જ ધીર છે, તે જ બલવાન છે, તે જ વિદ્વાન છે અને તે જ મુનિ મહાત્મા છે, કે જેણે પેાતાના મનને કાબૂમાં કરી પેાતાની ઇન્દ્રિયે ઉપર પાતાની
સત્તા જમાવી છે.
