ज्ञाताधर्मकथांग सूत्र 5 सूत्र १६ : नन्द मणिकार ने दक्षिण दिशा वाले उद्यान (वनखण्ड) में एक विशाल भोजनशालाड
बनवाई। उसमें भी सैंकड़ों खम्भे थे और वह सुन्दर प्रसन्नतादायक आदि थी। वहाँ भी अनेक र कर्मचारी आजीविका भत्ता, वेतन आदि पर रखे गये थे। वे विपुल अशन-पानादि सामग्री पकाते थेट 15 और अनेक श्रमणों, ब्राह्मणों, अतिथियों, दरिद्रों और भिखारियों को देते रहते थे। र 16. र सूत्र १७ : तए णं णंदे मणियारसेट्ठी पच्चथिमिल्ले वणसंडे एगं महं तेगिच्छियसालं कारेइटी 15 अणेगखंभसयसन्निविट्ठ जाव पडिरूवं। तत्थ णं बहवे वेज्जा य, वेज्जपुत्ता य, जाणुया य,डा
र जाणुय-पुत्ता य, कुसला य कुसलपुत्ता य, दिनभइ-भत्त-वेयणा बहूणं वाहियाणं, गिलाणाण य, 15 रोगियाण य, दुब्बलाण य, तेइच्छं करेमाणा विहरंति। अण्णे य एत्थ बहवे पुरिसाड 12 दिनभइ-भत्त-वेयणा तेसिं बहूणं वाहियाणं य रोगियाणं य, गिलाणाण य, दुब्बलाण या 5 ओसह-भेसज्ज-भत्त-पाणेणं पडियारकम्मं करेमाणा विहरंति।
सूत्र १७ : पश्चिम दिशा के वनखण्ड में नन्द मणिकार ने एक विशाल चिकित्साशाला बनवाई । 15 उसका निर्माण भी पूर्व दो की भाँति सुन्दर हुआ था। (सू. १४)। यहाँ अनेक चिकित्सक वेतनादि टा 15 पर नियुक्त किये गये थे-यथा-वैद्य, वैद्यपुत्र (आयुर्वेद स्नातक); ज्ञायक, ज्ञायकपुत्र (स्व-अनुभव के ड के आधार पर चिकित्सा करने वाले); तथा कुशल, कुशलपुत्र (अपने तर्क के आधार पर चिकित्सा टा 5 करने वाले)। वे अनेक चित्त-भ्रमित, पाण्डु रोगी तथा दुर्बल व्यक्तियों की चिकित्सा करते रहते थे। 5 चिकित्साशाला में अन्य अनेक कर्मचारी भी रखे गये थे जो रोगियों के लिए औषध, भेषज, भोजन, डा
पानी आदि की व्यवस्था कर उनकी सुश्रूषा किया करते थे।

THE HOSPITAL
17. Nand Manikaar constructed a large hospital in the western garden. This was also as beautifully constructed as the other two (as para 14). Many healers were appointed in this hospital; these included senior and junior Vaidyas (qualified Ayurvedic doctors), senior and junior Jnayaks (those who learned and practiced the art of healing through their own experience), and senior and junior Kushals (those who practiced the art of healing purely on the basis of logical deductions). They treated many a patient including
