INTIMAN
जो श्रमण ज्ञान, दर्शन और चारित्र गुण से सम्पन्न हो, संयम और तप की TRA आराधना में पूर्ण रूप से संलग्न हो, इस प्रकार जो गुणयुक्त है उसी को साधु कहना चाहिए॥४९॥
48, 49. In this world there are many impostors who are called ascetics by ignorant people. But a disciplined shraman should not call an impostor an ascetic. He should call an ascetic only who really is.
Only he should be called an ascetic who has virtues like right knowledge, perception and conduct and who is deeply involved in the practices of discipline and austerities. उत्तेजक शब्द न बोलें ५० : देवाणं मणुयाणं च तिरियाणं च वुग्गहे।
अमुगाणं जओ होउ मा वा होउ त्ति नो वए॥ देवता, मनुष्यों और तिर्यंच-पशुओं के परस्पर युद्ध होता देखकर अमुक की जीत हो और अमुक की हार हो, ऐसा हिंसा उत्तेजक वचन साधु को नहीं कहना चाहिए।॥५०॥ UTTER NO PROVOCATIVE WORD
50. Seeing gods, men and animals at war a shraman should | not say that this group should win and that should lose. ५१ : वाओ वुटुं च सीउण्हं खेमं धायं सिवं ति वा।
कया णु होज्ज एयाणि मा वा होउ त्ति नो वए॥ धूप, गर्मी आदि से पीड़ित साधु को अपनी पीड़ा निवृत्ति के लिए वायु, वर्षा, सर्दी, गर्मी, उष्ण, क्षेम रोगादि की शान्ति सुभिक्ष और कल्याण के विषय में ऐसा नहीं कहना चाहिए--"ये कब होंगे अथवा ये न हों तो अच्छा रहे।''॥५१॥
