अतिस्थूलस्थूला, स्थूलाः, स्थूलसूक्ष्माश्च, सूक्ष्मस्थूलाश्च । सूक्ष्मा, अतिसूक्ष्मा, इति धरादयो भवन्ति षड्भेदाः॥ २१ ॥ भूपर्वताद्या भणिता अतिस्थूलस्थूला इति स्कंधाः। स्थूला इति विज्ञेयाः सर्पिर्जलतैलाद्याः ॥ २२ ॥ छायातपाद्याः स्थूलेतरस्कन्धा इति विजानीहि । सूक्ष्मस्थूला इति भणिताः स्कन्धाश्चतुरक्षविषयाश्च ॥ २३॥ सूक्ष्मा भवन्ति स्कन्धप्रायोग्याः कर्मवर्गणस्य पुनः । तद्विपरीताःस्कन्धा अतिसूक्ष्मा इति प्ररूपयन्ति॥२४॥चतुष्क।
21-24. Gross-gross, gross, gross-fine, fine-gross, fine, and fine-fine are the six kinds, earth, etc.
Solids like earth, stone, consist of gross-gross molecules (Liquids) like ghee, water, oil are gross. Shade, sunshine, etc., consist of gross-fine molecules.
Objects of the four senses (of touch, taste, smell and hearing) are of fine-gross molecules. Karmic molecules, in the condition of being bound up with soul are fine. Those which are unlike these are of fine-fine molecules. धाउचउकस्स पुणो जं हेऊ कारणंति तं णेयो। खंधाणां अवसाणो णादव्वो कज्जपरमाण ॥ २५॥
धातुचतुष्कस्य पुनः यो हेतुः कारणमिति स ज्ञेयः। स्कन्धानामवसानो ज्ञातव्यः कार्यपरमाणुः ॥ २५ ॥
25. That which is the cause of the four root matters (earth, water, fire and air) should be known as cause-atom. (Kárana Parmánu). The smallest possible part of a molecule should be known as effect atom (Kárya Parmánu).
अत्तादि अत्तमझ अत्तंतं णेव इंदिए गेज्मं । अविभागी जं दव्वं परमाणू तं विआणाहि ॥२६॥ श्रात्माद्यात्ममध्यमात्मान्तस्तन्नैवेन्द्रियैाह्यम् । अविभागि यद्रव्यं परमाणुं तद् विजानीहि ॥ २६ ॥
