________________ निश्चयपरमावश्यक अधिकार 11 - THE SUPREME ESSENTIAL The ascetic (muni, śramaņa) who meditates, with concentration, on the knowledge-soul, does not accept external substances, the objectsof knowledge. His sole object of concentration is the knowledge-soul. The question of his engendering dispositions of delusion (moha) or attachment (rāga) or aversion (dveşa) in external substances does not arise. His passionless conduct-without-attachment (vītarāga caritra) leads him to liberation. He does not get bound with karmas. Therefore, the ascetic who is engaged in concentration on knowledge-soul treads the path to liberation.1 1 - see Ācārya Kundakunda's Pravacanasāra - Essence of the Doctrine, p. 305. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 261
