(૨૧૯) બેટી ધમાલ કરતે નથી; પણ સર્વત્ર શાંતિથી અનાકુલપણે જાય છે, યતનાપૂર્વક જીવહિંસા ન થાય, એમ ધીર-ગંભીર ગતિએ ચાલે છે, ને સર્વ વિધિ બરાબર સાચવે છે. જેમકે

હાય! ભાગી જશે, પેલે લૂંટી જશે ને હું રહી જઈશ. અમુક પહેલી પૂજા કરી લેશે ને હું મેડે પડી પાછળ રહી જઈશ, દર્શન ખૂલ્યા છે ને તરત બંધ થઈ જશે, માટે ચાલ દોડતે જઉં. ચાલ ચાલ! હારે ફલાણે ઠેકાણે જલ્દી જવાનું છે, માટે આ ભગવાનની પૂજા જેમ તેમ પતાવી દઉ, આ ભગવાનને જલદી જલદી બે ચાર ચાંદલા કરી પૂજાવિધિ ઝટઝટ આટોપી લઉં', આ ચોખાની ત્રણ ઢગલી મૂકી “લે તારે ભેગ ને મૂક મારે કેડે” એમ કરતેકને એકદમ રવાના થઈ જાઉં ! –ઈત્યાદિ પ્રકારે વ્યક્ત થતી મુદ્ર વિચારણાવાળી બેટી ઉતાવળ આ મુમુક્ષુ પુરુષને ઉપજતી નથી. તે તે સર્વત્ર હેઠા મને, નીરાંતે, નિરાકુલપણે ગમન કરે છે.
અને આમ તેની અત્યંત સ્વસ્થતા હોવાથી, આ મુમુક્ષુ જોગીજન પ્રત્યેક ક્રિયા ચિત્તને પ્રણિધાનપૂર્વક કરે છે, સાવધાન મનથી કરે છે, એકાગ્રપણે કરે છે. દાખલા તરીકે
