The other notion which is erroneously accepted by some Jain scholars is that science is incomplete, always evolving and therefore cannot to be trusted, whereas what Tirthankars have told us is the complete and ultimate truth and therefore should be believed in totality. Science is evolving- Yes, but observations, once made are correct for all times and should not be discarded; they can only be updated as more details with better precision become available.
