कामदेवरूपी जबर्दस्त लुटेरा लूट लेता है । इसलिए ऐसी भयंकर संसार - अटवी में सहायक के बिना प्रवेश करना बिलकुल उचित नहीं है ॥ ६ ॥ धनं मे गेहं मम सुकलत्रादिकमतो, विपर्यासादासादितविततदुःखा अपि मुहुः ॥ जना यस्मिन् मिथ्यासुखमदभृतः कूटघटनामयोऽयं संसारस्तदिह न विवेकी प्रसजति ॥७॥
भावार्थ : यह धन मेरा है, वह घर मेरा है, ये स्त्री-पुत्र आदि मेरे हैं; इस प्रकार मेरेपन की विपरीतबुद्धि से बार-बार अत्यन्त दुःख पाने पर भी जगत् में झूठे सुख का घमंड करने वाले लोग बैठे हैं । अत: यह संसार असत् - रचनामय है । इस कूट - कपटमय संसार में विवेकी पुरुष आसक्त नहीं होते ॥७॥ प्रियास्नेहो यस्मिन्निगडसदृशो यामिकभटो
पमः स्वीयो वर्गो धनमभिनवं बंधनमिव ॥ मदामेध्यापूर्णं व्यसनबिलसंसर्गविषमं । भवः कारागेहंतदिह न रतिः क्वापि विदुषां ॥८ ॥
