________________ कामविकार, मत्सर (डाह, ईर्ष्या दूसरे के गुणों को न सहना), कलह (वाग्युद्ध, झगड़ा), कदाग्रह (मिथ्या आग्रह) विषाद (कार्य करने की अशक्ति) और वैर (विरोध द्वेष) ये सब क्षीण हो जाते हैं । शान्तिचित्त व्यक्तियों के शोकादि का नाश होने में हमारा अनुभव ही, यानी प्रकट हुई गुणसम्पत्ति का साक्षात् दर्शन करने वाली हमारी बुद्धि ही साक्षीभूत है, अर्थात् उसे साक्षात् देखने वाली है ॥१८॥ शान्ते मनसि ज्योतिः प्रकाशते, शान्तमात्मनः सहजम् । भस्मीभवत्यविद्या मोहध्वान्त विलयमेति ॥१९॥ भावार्थ : मन शान्त हो जाने पर आत्मा की स्वाभाविक और शान्त ज्योति प्रकाशित होती है, अविद्या भस्मीभूत हो जाती है और मोहरूपी अन्धकार का सर्वथा विनाश हो जाता है ॥१९॥ बाह्यात्मनोऽधिकारः शान्तहृदामन्तरात्मनां न स्यात् । परमात्माऽनुध्येयः सन्निहितो ध्यानतो भवति ॥२०॥ भावार्थ : शान्त हृदय वाली अन्तरात्माओं के बाह्य आत्मा का अधिकार नहीं होता और ध्यान करने योग्य परमात्मा ध्यान से उसके समीपवर्ती हो जाता है ॥२०॥ कायादिर्बहिरात्मा तदधिष्ठातान्तरात्मतामेति । गतनिःशेषोपाधिः परमात्मा कीर्त्तितस्तज्ज्ञैः ॥२१॥ अधिकार बीसवाँ २९३
