भावार्थ : जागृत आत्मा को इन्द्रियों से अनेक प्रकार की आधि (मानसिक व्यथा) वाली सुख की वृत्तियाँ उत्पन्न होती हैं, जबकि सामान्यतया तो सर्वदशा में सम्बन्ध वाला चिदानन्दरूप प्रतिभासित होता है ॥७६॥
स्फुलिंगैर्न यथा वह्निर्दीप्यते ताप्यतेऽथवा । नानुभूतिपराभूती, तथैताभिः किलात्मनः ॥७७॥
भावार्थ : जैसे अग्नि तिनके से नहीं जलती, अथवा उस हालत में वह गर्मी भी नहीं देती, वैसे ही इन सुख की वृत्तियों से आत्मा का अनुभव अथवा पराभव नहीं होता ॥७७॥ साक्षिणः सुखरूपस्य सुषुप्तौ निरहंकृतम् । यथा भानं तथा शुद्धविवेके तदतिस्फुटम् ॥७८॥
भावार्थ : सुषुप्ति-अवस्था में सुखरूप, और साक्षीभूत आत्मा का जैसे अहंकार रहित भान होता है, वैसे ही शुद्ध विवेक में वह भान अत्यन्त स्पष्ट होता है ॥ ७८ ॥ तच्चिदानन्दभावस्य भोक्तात्मा शुद्धनिश्चयात् । अशुद्धनिश्चयात्कर्मकृतयोः सुखदुःखयोः ॥७९॥
भावार्थ : इस कारण शुद्ध निश्चयनय के मत से आत्मा चिदानन्द स्वभाव का भोक्ता है, और अशुद्ध निश्चयनय के मत से कर्म के द्वारा किये हुए सुख - दुःख का भोक्ता है ॥७९॥
