________________ एतत्प्रकृतिभूताभिः शाश्वतीभिस्तु शक्तिभिः । जीवत्यात्मा सदेत्येषा शुद्धद्रव्यनयस्थितिः ॥५७॥ भावार्थ : इन पूर्वोक्त ज्ञान-वीर्य आदि प्रकृतिरूप शाश्वत् शक्तियों के बल पर आत्मा निरन्तर जीता है, यह शुद्ध द्रव्य (द्रव्यार्थिक) नय की स्थिति (व्यवस्था) है ॥५७॥ जीवो जीवति न प्राणैर्विना तैरेव जीवति । इदं चित्रं चरित्रं के हन्त पर्यनुयुञ्जताम् ॥ ५८ ॥ भावार्थ : जिन प्राणों के बिना जीव जीता नहीं है, उन्हीं प्राणों के बिना जीव जीता है, इस आश्चर्यजनक चरित्र को कौन जान सकते हैं? ॥५८॥ नाऽऽत्मा पुण्यं, न वा पापमेते यत्पुद्गलात्मके । आद्यबालशरीरस्योपादानत्त्वेन कल्पिते ॥५९॥ भावार्थ : आत्मा पुण्य नहीं है या पाप भी नहीं है, क्योंकि (ये) पाप-पुण्य पुद्गलात्मक हैं- पुद्गलरूप हैं और प्रथम बालशरीर के उपादानकारण के रूप में कल्पित हैं ॥५९ ॥ पुण्यं कर्म शुभं प्रोक्तमशुभं पापमुच्यते । तत्कथं तु शुभं जन्तून् यत्पातयति जन्मनि ? ॥६०॥ भावार्थ : शुभकर्म को पुण्य कहा जाता है और अशुभकर्म को पाप कहा जाता है । इन दोनों में पुण्य को शुभ क्यों कहा जाता है ?, क्योंकि वह तो प्राणियों को जन्म के गर्त्त में डालता है, अनेक जन्म कराता है ॥६०॥ अधिकार अठारहवाँ २३९
