The deluded extroverted-soul (bahirātmā) continues to suffer as he mistakes the body-machine, including the senses, for the soul; the knowledgeable introverted-soul (antarātmā) attains the supreme state of liberation as he disconnects the bodymachine, including the senses, from the soul. (५०) The soul is distinct from the matter and the matter is distinct from the soul; this is the quintessence of reality. All the rest of articulation is but an elaboration of the same. ........................ 165
