________________ Verse 83 Ācārya Kundakunda’s Pravacanasāra: परिणमदि जदा अप्पा सुहम्हि असुहम्हि रागदोसजुदो । तं पविसदि कम्मरयं णाणावरणादिभावेहिं ॥ (P-84) When the soul, under imperfections of attachment and aversion, gets involved in auspicious or inauspicious dispositions, at the same time, the karmic dust, in the form of eight types of karması, including knowledge-obscuring, pours into it. 1 Eight kinds of karmas are: knowledge-obscuring (jñānāvaraṇīya), perception-obscuring (darśanāvaraṇīya), feeling-producing (vedanīya), deluding (mohanīya), life-determining (āyuh), name-determining or physique-making (nāma), status determining (gotra) and obstructive (antarāya). ........................ 121
