In literature we get several instances of poison-maids who are employed in treacherously bringing about the death of certain kings or enemies. कुरंडरंडत्तंFis (Sk. ET) means ' a slut, a whore', and t (Sk. *ET) means 'a widow.' Hence Fisisti ( Sk. HTETETA ) means 'becoming a whore and becoming a widow.' वझत्तं (Sk. वंध्यात्वं) barrenness. ATTETU (Sk. gaarala) becoming a woman bearing a dead child." St. 228. seed ( Sk. arhei) affection. Showing affection to a co-religionist (araft) bas been regarded in Jainism as one of the most. important factors in the life of a Shravaka. This affection consists in giving honour and cordial reception to a co-religionist and if he is poor to supply him with food, money, clothes etc, not with pity but with religious devotion and thus make him happy in every way. How happy the Jainas of to-day would be and how flourishing would be the Jaina Religion, if they would keep in their minds this excellent commandinent of the Jina !!
