________________ स्वभावलाभसंस्कार-कारणं ज्ञानमिष्यते। ध्यान्थ्यमात्रमतस्त्वन्यत्, तथा चोक्तं महात्मना // 3 // जिससे निजात्म स्वभाव की उपलब्धि हो वह ज्ञान है। सद्ज्ञान ही बस इष्ट है नहिं इष्ट जग विज्ञान है। निज भान जो देता नहीं वह ज्ञान रूचिकर है नहीं। वह ज्ञान मति-अंधत्व है ऋषि सकल फरमाते यही॥३॥ - जो ज्ञान आत्म स्वभाव की प्राप्ति के संस्कार का कारण - भूत है, वही ज्ञान इच्छनीय है इसके अलावा जो भी पढ़ा जाता है वह तो बुद्धि का अंधत्व है। इसी प्रकार महात्मा पतंजलि ने भी कहा है। The great sage Patanjali :confirms this thai one that leads to the knowledge of the 'Self' alone is true knowlege. Science is the knowledge of the world but the sages say that what should be desired is the knowledge of the self (Self-realization). That which does not enlighten the self is ignorance not knowledge. {35}
